The Process and The Outcome

The process:

The first step is owning where you are. We will work together and get really honest about how you feel about the life you are currently living and why it is happening. That’s right. I do believe everything has a reason. Our actions create our outcomes and we need to own that if anything is going to change. Now, this process doesn’t happen in a healthy way without a lot of self-compassion, so that is going to be part of the journey as well. We are going to help you get over all that negative talk that pulls you away from the self-belief you need to enjoy the experience of change and challenge.

The second step is identifying the intent. This doesn’t happen randomly and is answered from within. It has to be clear, powerful, and meaningful to make it stick. I am going to help you become very very clear about what is going to be worth all your time and effort. Because let’s be honest, change requires effort and nothing is more demoralizing than putting in a lot of effort only to realize that the outcome wasn’t really what we wanted in the first place. To minimize that frustration, we want to be clear not just about the goal, but about who we want to be and how we want to show up along the way. That way every day can be lived intentionally with your ultimate goal in mind.

The third step, creating a plan. This is the part where we take your goal and break it down into actionable steps. Often our overwhelm is a byproduct of uncertainty in what to do rather than too many things to do. Or we fill our days with so many things in hopes of finding what works. Creating a solid plan and pathway is how we overcome some of those barriers. Not all, because there will always be redirects and adaptations required, but the better we plan, the more certainty we can have in our path forward. The more certainty and again, clarity, the easier it is to move forward and course correct when needed.

The final stage and arguably the hardest, is the commitment. 90% of the time this is where it all falls apart. And it’s also the #1 reason to hire a coach. All the planning and understanding in the world doesn’t matter if we fail to commit and follow through. I’ll be here to help you move through the challenges as they arrive, redirect as necessary, and stay the course when it feels heavy. Without the commitment to action, you might leave with new wisdom, but not with the ideal outcome.

The outcome:

In short, the change you’ve been hoping for. Through our sessions, you will learn more and more about yourself and your desires. You’ll develop the mindsets and sense of resiliency necessary to persevere in hard times. You’ll learn the tricks to shift your understanding of negative thoughts and obstacles in your path to viewing them as opportunities for growth (and no, not in a toxic positivity kind of way, but a genuinely supportive one). If you do the work and commit to your change, you’ll come out the other end excited about what you can accomplish. Because you aren’t just putting in effort. You are putting in effort for a purpose.
